Florence Adepoju
Florence is founder and director of MDMflow, an ethical, UK produced luxury cosmetics brand inspired by 90s Hip Hop and London life. She started the product line in her parent’s back garden and has now moved to factory production in order to meet international demand for her products.
Florence has been featured in the New York Times, profiled by CNN and is an EDF Female Scientist ambassador. Florence graduated from London College of Fashion as a Cosmetic Science and regularly supports young talent to break into the competitive industry with internships and work experience opportunities.
Dr Clare Anyiam, BEM
Clare is the founder of PREMAE. Multi-awarded ethical beauty entrepreneur, Dr Clare Anyiam-Osigwe began her trail blazing journey from her kitchen stove in Islington, baking face balms to relieve her Acne and Eczema whilst teaching English GCSE at secondary schools. Her pioneering Afro-asian plant-based formulations lead to immediate award nomination, just 40 days after Premae Skincare launched in Dec 2011. Five years later, the brand is an established and pioneering force in the skin allergy sector.
Latenda Kalimba
With over 20 years in the hair & beauty industry, Latenda made a name for herself after opening her first salon in West London. The hair stylist is known for her protective styling skills, managing to increase the natural length of her client’s hair.
Hailed as the ‘The Hair Doctor’ due to her degree in Hair Science she guest writes for Bella Naija spreading her knowledge on hair health, hair loss & scalp deficiencies. Latenda has set up a charity where she creates wigs for young children who have lost their hair through chemotherapy, surgery or natural causes.
